Proficient Learning wins Award of Distinction for its integrated campaign
Wilmington, N.C. — June 29, 2018 — Following a recent Hermes Awards win, Proficient Learning, a full-service company that creates advanced selling and coaching skills training for life science professionals, has been recognized with an Award of Distinction in the 24th Annual Communicator Awards.
Founded over two decades ago, the Communicator Awards is an international awards program spotlighting big ideas in marketing and communications. Over 6,000 entries are received from companies and agencies, and those who win an Award of Distinction are selected for exceeding industry standards in quality and achievement.

The Experiential Learning entry that Proficient Learning submitted to this year’s Communicator Awards included two examples of integrated campaigns. The first was an Experience Room created specifically for 160 sales professionals belonging to a particular client. Proficient Learning created this immersive experience to not only engage participants but with the underlying goal of improving sales and establishing success as a second-to-market product entrant.
Proficient Learning also submitted its booth at the Life Sciences Trainers & Educators Network Annual Conference. The booth was a way of demonstrating to conference participants just what Proficient Learning does. Attendees had the chance to engage with augmented reality 360-degree video to visualize each Experience Room vignette with the help of iPads and earbuds. This way attendees could experience just what sales professionals undergoing Proficient Learning training experience.
“We wanted to give conference attendees the full experience that sales professionals have when they attend a Proficient Learning workshop,” says Proficient Learning Creative Director Mike Volkmar. “Doing this was no easy task. We had to come up with a way to recreate something that already took a lot of creativity to execute. But our dedication paid off because attendees had a great time and now Proficient Learning is even starting to get recognition from award competitions,” he adds.
