The Inc. Magazine List Encompasses America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies

Wilmington, N.C.—August 24, 2018—Proficient Learning, a company that creates advanced selling and coaching skills training for life science professionals, was ranked on the newly published Inc. 5000. Now in its 37th year, the prestigious list put out by Inc. magazine recognizes the nation’s fastest-growing private companies.

“Since the launch of our business, Proficient Learning has seen steady growth. We’ve worked hard to become a leader in our industry and it feels wonderful to be recognized on a national level for all of our dedication,” says Proficient Learning CEO Pam Marinko.

The list represents a unique look at the most successful innovators within the American economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent small and mid-sized businesses. With a collective revenue of more than $206.2 billion in 2017, these companies have all contributed to the country’s job growth.

Companies on the 2018 Inc. 5000 are ranked by percentage of revenue growth between 2014 and 2017, and each one on this year’s list has grown by more than 50 percent over the past three years. Microsoft, Timberland, Chobani, LinkedIn, Yelp, Zillow and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees of the Inc. 5000.

Pam Marinko adds, “We’re thrilled to be part of Inc. 5000, a list featuring so many successful, amazing businesses. This ranking further inspires us to continue challenging ourselves and to do all we can to make a positive impact in the life science industry and to better serve our clients.”
